you know, coldplayer, most advice i've heard was quite the contrary to "move away".
it was: face whatever it is, and then *change* it, if it can be changed, and if it can't, let it be.
change is quite different to running away.
from my experience running away rarely helps at all. - it might feel better for the moment, but in the long run, it's just not a solution.
i've found that shutting myself off and ignoring/running from issues just made them worse, whereas acknowledging my problems and starting change (often with help from outside), has enabled me to start change for the better.
i think overall the best advice for someone who's depressed and at this very moment thinking about suicide is: get help. straight away. call 911. walk into an er. call a helpline. competent help is the key.
Spike: Well, I'm not good and I'm okay.
