I've actually heard of a handful of cases like that over the years, including a few from one clinic in NYC which served an orthodox jewish women's population.

So, while I'd hardly say that's anything but rare, it does still happen.

The main source of the story appears to be the British tabloid, the Daily Mirror. The same Daily Mirror whose editor was recently fired for headlining with fake photos of Iraqi torture victims.

in comparison to this journalistic travesty, this story is a little hiccup.
