I wanted to post to address the fact that many people think that they are only one person what they do, what they say doesn't matter. This is completely untrue.
For instance did you know that in Canada in the last elections only 30% of citizens voted? Of that very few actually voted for the people who got into office. We are supposed to be a democratic society! This is not majority rules, this is a small portion of the population rules.
There are many other things like this. If you are unhappy with something or feel it could be made better, do something! It can be rather daunting to be one person, but think: if thousands or millions of people woke up in the morning with the mentality that they were only one person, what they did didn't matter then chaos would ensue!
Please, please realize that each and every one of you makes a difference. Stand up for what you believe in!
How do you think major companies came to be? One person had an idea and decided to act on it!
How do you think slavery was ended (in some places anyway)? People acted!
We are individuals, but together we are strong. You can make a difference in anything, it is your responsibility as a citizen of our planet to try!
