The fact that I wrote this is completely nuts. I'm about as far from a literary person as you can get. Anyway...
I wrote this poem about 5 minutes after talking to my ex for any length of time for the first time in at least 2 months. The sudden flood of emotion was something else. I felt sick and just felt myself wishing I could go back in time to before we started having problems stemming from my depression.
It's pretty simple, but I'm not a poet, and don't even want to be one.
How They Used to Be
I wish things were. How they used to be. Things were so much better. When things were. How they used to be.
