A few movies have made me cry (E.T the 3rd time I saw it, but not the 1st or 2nd) but the most memorable for me are both Haley Joel Osment movies: Pay it Forward and Sixth Sense. He is just so darned precious, and was scared just about to death in Sixth Sense, so I cried 'cause he was so scared. Also where he gets so mad at his mom and tells her that he hates her and wishes she wasn't his mom. Heart-wrenching! And the scene in Pay it Forward where he died!! Poor baby!!

Alright. I admit it. I got a bit teary during the Green Mile. But I stand by the book. The book almost made me cry. That book is about 10 times more powerful than the movie.
And I cried at Beauty and the Beast. I saw it in the theater when I was nine. I thought that the idiot Gustoff or whatever had killed the beast. Made me mad!
Thats all. I'm not too outwordly emotional, so that's all I have.
My friend would like me to add Salt Lake City Punk, specifically when Heroin Bob dies. It's very sad.

For some reason I always cry at the end of the little mermaid. Even when I was younger, I always find something sad about Arial leaving her father and all her sisters. I'm such a sap, I even cried at Harry Potter Posts: 39 | Registered: Jul 2001

Oh, goody, Dancer In The Dark's got 2 votes! OK, it didn't make me cry, but made me feel emptied instead. So far, it's the deepest impression a movie's made on me (this one and Edward Scissorhands... marvellous).

I'm glad that at least a couple people mentioned Dancer in the Dark. It is a wonderful movie. Everyone should go out and rent it. I definately cried in that movie, it moved me.
Actually since I got together with my SO most every movie I have seen has touched me. I have turned into such a sucker for corny movies too! I love it.

I love Dancer in the Dark so much. I bought it last summer, and it's one of my favorite movies. I can't help crying everytime i watch it, and also singing along. It's a very touching but sad story.
I also happen to think bjork and peter stormare are incredible actors.(he plays such a good psycho in fargo, hehe)

When I was younger, I used to cry on a Land Before Time every time I watched it. I still cry on The Fox and the Hound, when the lady is dropping the fox into the woods and she is looking back and cries. Its soo sad! I cried on the Family Man, Armagedon, and Here on Earth. I cried on Pearl Harbor too, when they show his son at the end... But, I think the movie that I cried the most on, even though I have only seen it once, was A Walk to Remember. That has to have been the saddest movie ever... lol. I get really into movies I guess...

I really, really hated The Land Before Time, and most Disney movies. Why do the parents always end up dying? How healthy a message is that?

Y'know, i have to agree with you Milke on the latest disney movies...they used to have some good ones. Little mermaid was always my favorite, and beauty and the beast.
Anywho, my point was, disney is running out of ideas. Peter Pan 2, little mermaid 2, cinderella 2....and weren't there a bunch of different beauty and the beast things?
*Sigh* Makes me think of all the quality 80's kids shows, and how today's have gone right down the toilet!

quote:Originally posted by SmackDownDiva: A film that gets me every time is "Steel Magnolias" - I *love* that movie! For any of you that haven't seen it, it's from 1989 and stars Julia Roberts, Sally Field, Daryl Hannah, Olympia Dukakis, and Shirley MacLaine.
So what movies move you to tears every time you see them?
It's funny when I went into this thread I was thinking this movie and I was imagining nobody else would know it, let alone put it down! But I completely agree!! I just ball my eyes out EVERY time I see this flipping movie! It's that Julia Roberts, she's so sweet and helpless and I just torment myself everytime I allow myself to watch it...But it's amazing how they turn the scene right around from tragic to actually hilarious... Another really sad movie is Deep Impact, I cry pretty hard in that movie too...

By far the one movie that always makes me cry is Beaches with Bette Middler (sp?). I rarely cry during movies but that one always does, even though I have seen it tonnes of times. "I am Sam" is another one that made me cry when I first saw it. Some movies are just tear jerkers!

I was in the non-seeing Titanic-watching club until last year myself. I always figured I already knew the ending, so seeing it was a bit pointless.
I did finally get talked into renting it. Don't have a whole lot to say about it -- was pretty much what I expected. And expected ending.
However, due to watching it while soaking my feet and my usual clumsiness, I managed to drop the box in the water.
It was fairly comical having to walk into the movie store the next day and explain that I sunk the Titanic.

Hey i didn't see titanic either! That's 3 people-we could start a club if we wanted! Anyway, the one movie that ever made me cry is- I'm sad to say this- Air Bud. I found it very sad when the boy had to give up his dog. I kind of got choked up during Big Daddy and Anger Management too. You may point and laugh now.

This question is perfect because i wached titanic last night! lol that movie shows how you can fall for another person! AND, love is only good when it's good and going see how strong the relationship is when you fall for another person you dont even kno! But it's funny how that does happen alot. Its like an obsession that just takes controll of you and your whole body and makes choices for you and justs shows how strong you are can you resist is it that tempting? Will you leave everything good for him or her? That makes you a ambitious and crazy person and you are making a choice that could make or break you! Hey, i guess its living life to the limit? back to the subject i cry alot because its action and a love story involving jewlery! so IT'S A PERFECT MOVIE! hAS ANYONE SAW PASSION OF THE CHRIST? HOW WAS IT????

There are many many movies that sneak into my emotions and make me cry...a lot of them being the majority of what has been mentioned already. But there's one movie that I dont think i've seen mentioned yet here. I read the book first and I only just recently saw the movie:
White Oleander
I found it to be very interesting and it definately made me cry like a baby!
