Jump. Seriously. A few weeks ago, I was feeling depressed and my brother said to me "you should do a jump", so I did, and I felt much better. It sounds silly, but it works. Posts: 2710 | From: Australia | Registered: Jun 2000

Write my feelings out. Make a diary, and everytime you feel depressed write in it. That usually makes me feel a little better. You could also do something that you really enjoy.
I hope you feel betters!!!!! BIG OL' SMILES

Writing diaries is a great thing. I agree with glitter695 on that one. I just write my thoughts on pieces of paper sometimes and afterwards, staple it into an old school exercise book - it works out pretty well.
I love playing with the neighbour's kids; they're just so sweet and innocent.
I love playing the piano or writing songs - it makes the time pass.

Smile If you do, it improves your mood. Just start smiling. I forget the reasoning behind why it works... perhaps endorphines or something, but it is supposed to. So smile!!!! Posts: 6 | From: Oxofrd, Ohio, USA | Registered: Apr 2001

I meditate, or practice Tae Kwon Do. Martial Arts is incredibly centering and peaceful.

Well I call up my girlfriend, talk to my sister, or spend some time with my cat. That usually cheers me up.

1. Talk to my best girl friend 2. Watch a movie with someone I think is sexy in it 3. Sing at the top of my lungs 4. Cry a whole lot (really, it helps!) 5. Pace back and forth to music 6. Eat cheese 7. Take a relaxing bath 8. Masturbate!

Sing, act, listen to music, or come barrie my face here in the boards! I feel so much better afterwards. A hot shower works too...

No Ruth, you are not the only one who does "Number 8." In fact, I was going to suggest it until you did!
Other than that, a nice dip in the pool can make me feel better on a hot summer day...and a nice dip in a hot tub can raise my spirits on a cool winter one. I guess the troubles really do float away when you're comfy in some water!
