Yes, absolutely.

Blackmail is a form of both force and coercion.

Really? ANYTIME a person is manipulated in any way into having sex, they are then in a position where they are unable to freely give consent or nonconsent. And when a person is in such a position, we are looking at a sexual abuse.

...though it's not essential we know what you're being blackmailed with, since obviously it's a big enough deal for you to keep it secret that you'd be willing to be blackmailed in this way.

One thing to understand is that blackmailing someone is often a criminal act, as is any form of rape. So, you may consider filing a report, knowing that the police are not going to tell anyone whatever your secret is, and most people do NOT want to go to jail or be charged with a crime.

So, you might consider telling this person you are considering filing charges against them, which may stop the blackmail right there. Same goes with them being outed AS a rapist and a blackmailer. Often, someone is making a hollow threat when it comes to blackmail, and only making that threat because it is getting them the result they want.

Too, I'd suggest really thinking about what the issue is here, and if what they are saying they will disclose really WILL do you harm -- and more harm than being forced into sex will, which is considerable harm.
