Could it be possible to have a poll on HIV/AIDS?

It would be useful to get an idea of where it lies in our consciousness. I think it's important to see what, why and (perhaps most importantly) how much we think about it. Seeing that it's such a loaded topic I think it deserves a poll of its own.

On the way out for the night, but sure.

Want to give me a tip as to the sorts of things you're curious about relevant to HIV and AIDS that aren't also about to other STIs?

We talking about personal behaviours, for instance, or cultural attitudes, etc?

The two you just mentioned definitely.
Also:
Personal attitudes in comparison or contrast to cultural attitudes

Estimation of personal risk (and/or perhaps
estimation of risk compared to others?)

How knowledgeable they estimate themselves to be on the subject and where they learned what they know

Experiences, for instance:

-knowing someone who is infected with HIV
-knowing someone who has AIDS
-knowing someone who has died of AIDS
-being infected
-having a scare
-being tested

Whether their experiences had an effect on their attitudes toward HIV/AIDS

I think I shook everything out of my brain on this. I hope it helps
