I never dated until once in college...but we broke up.
Now that I am out of college, I used an online website to meet someone but it was kind of LDR and it ended today I think because it was LD...
So I am not sure how to meet someone or where to start. I don't think it will ever happen...I live in a small town and I don't go to parties or anything like that. And I tried the online thing but that turned out long distance and I kind of think someone who lives closer to me might work out better...
Any ideas? [Frown]

Have you looked into any clubs or organizations in your area? A lot of times that can be helpful when meeting people because it helps in already knowing you have some common interests.

Having come from a small town, I know the feeling. But everywhere has groups, clubs, so on and so forth. And if not right in your town, likely in surrounding towns and areas.

My friends I had this same problem. I had/have very few close girl friends and none of them back then were into clubbing or going to bars. And as a single girl I just hated the idea of going to a place with alcohol effected men. I also don't do sports or many other 'group' activities.

So I did internet dating. The first date with a guy was good but he broke up the next day (I had an awful habit of asking a guy to be my boyfriend on the first date).

I was hurt by this but a while later I went on and saw a guy I liked. We chatted for 2 weeks before we went on a date. The rest as they say is history.

I am going to be celebrating my 2nd anniversary on dec 14th, we are living together and are informally engaged! I am on cloud 9 at the moment [Smile]

So give it a go, but please remember that
1) don't lie about important things that he will find out later
2) meet in a PUBLIC place, so you feel safe.
