i had sex with my girlfriend for the first time 2 nights ago and she says she enjoyed it and all and wants to do it again, but she says it hasn't really sunk in yet. She says its unbelievable like a dream. Why wouldnt it have come to her by now?

Sex doesn't have to be a earth-shattering event. As such, the idea of having sex for the first time doesn't have to hit someone like a ton of bricks.

On the other hand, maybe it was so wonderful for her, and she still remains in a pleasant reverie from her experience. That's a nice place to be. She doens't have to snap out of it within a certain time frame.
