I am on the pill and always use condoms with my boyfriend, but was just looking online and had a couple of questions.

I had sex with my boyfriend yesterday (I am also in my pill free week) and then today I started my period. This will sound ridiculous but am I correct in thinking there is no chance of pregnancy if you have a period? No matter if I had sex the day before?

I am an anxious person and suffer with anxiety so tend to need reassurance to things even when I know the answer. Lol. I just tend to doubt myself!

Also the last couple of times I have had sex, there has been times when my boyfriend has entered me before putting on a condom. He always has one on when he ejaculates, and I understand the risk of STIs etc, but am I at risk of pregnancy even if I take my pills correctly?

Many thanks in advance.

If you have your withdrawal bleed you're not pregnant.

There's still a risk (is even when using both methods) but given you take your pills correctly, and he doesn't ejaculate on or near your genitals risk would be really really low.

There's still a risk of pregnancy so you need to be careful also with your boyfriend entering you before putting on a condom you also have to be careful about Sexually Transmitted Infections
