My boyfriend and I had sex the day after my period ended a month ago (I was a virgin) and we both used a form of birth control (I used YAZ, the birth control pill and he used a condom. We are both sure that nothing leaked and that it didn't break but about a week or two after we had sex I began to get worried of pregnancy. I did not have any symptoms and I felt totally fine but I got really worried when I got my period on the scheduled date a month later though it started during the end of the day when usually it stared that morning and it was fairly light.
I asked my mom about it, not telling her that I've had sex, and she said that it was from the pill working since this is the third month I've been on it and it's to help with controlling my period more. I wasn't sure if she was sure though since last month my period was pretty heavy. And the one I had this month was light and was red and had some dark stuff every now and then and I only had one or two small clots.
I'm worried though. Is this because I'm pregnant or is it just because my pill is working? Help me please, I'm scared. :C

Even on the pill, women's periods can vary significantly appearance each month. Being off by a day or two also is not uncommon.
It doesn't sound like you've had any risk here, but if you're still finding yourself to be extremely worried about pregnancy when you're using not one but *two* highly effective forms of birth control, then you might want to consider backing away from sexual activities that might pose any risk at all.
But really, using condoms and the pill (and using them both correctly all the time) means that you have way less than one percent chance of pregnancy. In fact, it's about as close to zero as you can get.

And yes, I talked to my boyfriend about it and decided that I'm not ready to have sex again if I get that worried over nothing and he agreed with me. I often over-analyze everything and whenever I thought about pregnancy I would feel sick and then worry that was a symptom. :/ But I feel much more relieved now. So thanks again!
