A little more than a week ago, my boyfriend and I had sex. We used a condom, there was nothing wrong with it and it didn't break. But, before we actually had intercourse he kind of well, teased me. And I know the risk of pre cum.
My period was supposed to start on Thursday. And I know that stress can make it late, as well as other things ( I have been stressed, and I was recently diagnosed with Gastritis? could this make a difference? ) My parents were teasing me about being pregnant to the point where I started to believe I was. So I had my boyfriend get a test. It was negative.
(sorry this is so long for 2 questions!)
So my questions are..
* Would the test still be accurate if I took it during when my period should have been? (It was an E.P.I ) * Are there any early signs of pregnancy that I could be looking out for?

You were protected if you used a condom and avoided genital contact prior. If you'd still like to take a test, wait another week -- had there been a risk, a week is too soon to obtain accurate results. 14 days after the pregnancy risk is the gold standard.
Your period could certainly be late due to stress and illness. No reason to worry. Posts: 4636 | From: USA/Northern Europe | Registered: Oct 2005

According to my boyfriend ( son of two nurses ) it was stress and the gastritis that made it late. It's an "I told ya so" moment for him haha. Well, thank you for responding! This is probably what calmed me down enough for it to start lol
