ok ive been on bc for abt 4-5 months. im towards the end of the second week of my bc pills. last month was really ****ed up and i kept forgetting to take them or taking them at weird times and stuff but i still got my period at the end of the pack so then i started a new pack when i was supposed to after my period was over. ive been taking it the same time every single day since the beginning of the pack except for today or whatever u wanna call it since its 3:30 am already...i forgot to take it at 8 when i usually do so i just took it right now. anyways, just a few mins ago i went to the bathroom and there was thick, dark brown discharge in my underwear and i looked it up online and started seeing all this pregnancy stuff saying you get a brown discharge early on in pregnancy....im so worried now! what the hell is happening. they also said it could be the body cleaning itself out or something but ive done it without a condom probably twice or three times while being on this pack of bc but ive taken the pill religiously since starting the pack! what could this be? it doesnt matter that i screwed the last month up, right? as long as ive been taking the pills for this month all on time? mainly should i be worried abt pregnancy? i have a hard time believing i could be pregnant but what could it be? ive already had a yeast infection once before i started bc do i seriously have another one or is it something more serious?
sorry i keep posting on here asking if im pregnant but im so scared its gonna happen by accident no matter how careful i try to be.....pleaseeee help! i plan on going to a health clinic on tuesday during the day to get checked out but i just want to be sure it's not pregnancy. it seems unlikely but theres always a chance right....? god im worried

Brown discharge is usually old blood from a previous menstrual period or withdrawl bleed. Since you did have a messed up cycle of pills the previous month, it's possible that taking the pills correctly is causing your body to release some stored up old blood.

So, it's good to get it checked out (since sometimes it can be a sign of something else), but it doesn't sound to me like it's anything serious.

Have you seen our thread for support about pregnancy worries? (http://www.scarleteen.com/forum/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=9;t=001131). Hearing from other people in the same position might be helpful.

It's probably just old blood, which looks brown because it hasn't been carying oxygen for a while. Is it really heavy, or kinda light?

It sounds like old blood to me. If the staining is bothering you, I suggest wearing a pantyliner. But it doesn't seem to be anything dangerous - more likely than not, the erratic BC cycle did it.
