I really need some advice. I'm worried I might be pregnant. I started taking the Pill 8 days after my period started and was told I should wait 7 days before having sex. I've not missed any Pills and have taken them at roundabout the same time each day. I'm really worried though because instead of waiting 7 whole days I had sex ON the 7th day, a few times. The first time my boyfriend used a condom and afterwards he 'withdrew', but I know there's still a chance sperm could have found their way inside me. How likely is it that I'm pregnant? I didn't have any side-effects with the Pill until a few days later when I noticed some spotting, could this mean I'm pregnant?

One should wait at least one full cycle of the pill when just starting before unprotected intercourse, to tell you the truth.

So yes, you had a pregnancy risk (and an STD/STI risk, as well).

You're not likely to have pregnancy symptoms in the first month, and especially in the first week or so of pregnancy. So, at this point, the only thing to do if it has been more than 72-100 hours since this is wait until it's time to take a pregnancy test, I'm afraid.

Will a pregnancy test be affected by the Pill?

Pregnancy tests measure only for a hormone produced when a woman is pregnant, so can provide accurate results with the pill.

But you do have to wait to take one until it has been at least ten days after your last risk.

Since it was too late for emergency contraception I decided to wait until I finished my pack of Pills and see if I got my period. Four days into my 7-day break I did, and it definitely isn't just 'spotting' or anything. It's exactly like my periods were before I started taking the Pill... should I assume I'm not pregnant?

Personally I would take a pregnancy test just to be sure but it sounds unlikely that you are.
