My period is a little over a week late. I did bleed for a short time, less than an hour, the day it was supposed to start, but haven't since then. I have been experiencing cramps and other physical symptoms that I normally have when I'm on my period. I haven't had sex so that's not the problem. It is the end of the semester and I've been pretty stressed out so that may be playing into it. I was just wondering if I should be concerned that I am feeling cramps but not bleeding?

Stress, changes in diet and activity levels can all wreak havoc on one's cycles.

So, for the time being, I'd say to ride it out. A good rule of thumb, to make sure the irregularity isn't due to a medical condition you need treated (like PCOS, endometriosis, etc.), is that if the irregularity continues through three cycles, or recurs again a few times during the year, to see your gynecologist and have your annual exam, being sure to mention the irregularities.

So, if during the next two months things continue to be wonky, go ahead and get an appointment. If not, don't sweat it.
