I took a pregnancy test which came out negative and i followed all the directions so im sure i did it right. Im just very confused about why my period is 9 days late. I could have been stressing out about being pregnate which might have caused it to be delayed but do you think that anything else go be going wrong?

It could be a number of reasons ... You're just gonna have to relax and try to wait as patiently as possible.

I'm not sure how old you are, but i'm going to assume you're a teenager ... And as teens, menstrual periods can get out of whack sometimes. This is normal, but if it lasts for more than a month or so (b/c you are sexually active) i would suggest going to see your doctor.

If you're period doesn't come in the next week or so, you can take another pregnancy test. If your period doesn't show up soon after, and you're really concerned about it, i'd make an appointment w/ your doctor.

Yeah, sometimes you can get false negatives, but if you're only a week late, I wouldn't worry about it too much, especially if you're young.

If it still hasn't shown up a week from now, take another test. Until then, try not to worry too much - the tests are pretty reliable.
