Ok, I had a bladder infection about 2 or 3 months ago, and it went away but like 2 or 3 weeks b/4 i went to the dr. to get that checked on i got constipated, and i was constipated for like 2 months! i mean i pooped but it was really hard to, but then that was normal again, then i got my bladder infection back AGAIN ( i hope/think that's what it is) but i went to the doctor, and he said that there was a lot of blood in my pee so he sent it to the lab again, and while i was there he asked me if i was constipated at all or if i had diarea alot and i didn't at that time, so he gave me the pills that got arid of the stinging last time and it went away for like 2 days and now it's back and i'm constipated again! what coudl it be!!?!?

What's your diet like?

I ask because if you're constantly constipated AND getting bladder infections, sounds to me like not only are you perhaps not drinking enough water, but you may not be eating very well either.

For instance, do you eat a decent lot of fruits and vegetables and good bulk fiber (as in, real whole wheat breads and pastas)? Do you have very little processed foods, sodas and sugars?

I'd call back your doctor and ask what he thinks at this point. if he has no answers, I'd suggest seeing another doctor for a second opionion or just seeing a nutritionist. But if your diet and water intake isn't healthy, you can certainly start making it so on your own in the interim.

Not being adequately hydrated can cause both of those conditions, the bladder/urinary tract infections AND the constipation.

Ideally, non-flavored water is best because falvoured waters usually have sugars or preservatives.

I know it isn't always easy -- I've always had a hard time getting to like water myself, and in my case, not staying hydrated meant the loss of my gallbladder years back, so it can become really serious. You need to find a way to get in the habit.

If you need some flavor, ttry having it iced with a little bit of lemon juice.

You get gallstones or a rupture, and you have to have it removed. Not staying hydrated helps create things like gallstones.

Yes, pain in your lower back can be related to constipation and bladder infections.

Again, I suggest you follow my initial advice: call your doctor, find out where you stand now, or get a second opinion. talking about things rhetorically or generally is of only so much use: your doctor has YOUR information so that you can find out what's up with you specifiically.
