I had sex for the first time yesterday, and a few hours later i was checking my self, and i noticed something. Right at my vaginal opening, one side was really really swollen in a lump, like the size of a couple kidney beans. I put some ice on it to take the swelling down, and it wasnt really hurting. This morning it looks a lot better. I just wanted to make sure,is this normal????? Or if not, whats wrong???

Good rule of thumb: large lumps that are very swollen are not normal. See a doctor as soon as possible to see what's up.

Can you just tell me though, if swelling after the first intercourse is normal at all?
I read somewhere that it was. It seemed quite swollen and i'll still see a doctor, but i half expected some swelling the first time, was i wrong to?

No, as said before, that swelling is not normal. Perhaps you were confused because one of the later stages of arousal is that blood rushes to the genitals, and they swell (erections) However, this swelling is telling your body that something's wrong.
