So over the past week I have had spotting. I believe it's from ovulation and I'm not sure what else it could be from fingering. However last night my boyfriend went down on me but I was still in my underwear. We are both virgins and have only ever been with each other. Could I get an sti from this?

STIs are not only transmitted via intercourse, but also via oral or manual sex. So yes, if you do not engage in intercourse but you do engage in other sexual activities, then you still have a risk of STI transmission.

The only way to rule out STIs for sure is via testing.

However, I'd not jump to the conclusion that the spotting is caused by an STI - spotting can be caused by lots of other things, as well.

So, I'd say it is time to make an appointment with your gynecologist to start your regular STI screenings, and to talk to your partner about using protection from now on when engaging in sexual activity.

If you were wearing clothing that covered all of your genitals, then oral sex wasn't really even something you did in the first place. Your boyfriend licking your underwear is not your boyfriend licking your genitals, if you follow.

If you have never had intercourse or oral sex, then it is unlikely that you have an STI. However, pelivic pain is something that you should discuss with a doctor. So, again: sounds like an appointment with your gynecologist is your best bet.
