Hi Scarletteen!

I'm having some trouble with my period. I'm nineteen and my period has been fairly regular for awhile now. It would usually happen at the very end or the very beginning of each month.

However, last month I had my period twice, which has never happened before, and I have not had my period at all this month. I got cramps around the time that my period should have occurred, but no bleeding occurred. There is absolutely no chance I could be pregnant because I am not sexually active.

I am not on birth control or any medications that could affect my period, so this has truly happened out of the blue. Should I go see a doctor or should I wait this out?

How do you chart your periods? Without knowing that, it's a little hard to say whether this one was irregular or wierd at all.

If it was, though, that is still no reason to worry: one wonky period every once in a while is not a big deal. It happens from time to time - often it is due to something like stress or illness, or a change in diet or sleeping patterns. And sometimes there's no obvious reason at all.
