I've been having a bit of problem lately. For a about a week, I've had these red, inflamed patches on both sides of my groin. They are red, flaky, very itchy (especially at night), and have sort of non-distinct bumps. I'm worried that it might be an STI, but it very well could be a reaction to a new soap that I tried just before the irritation started that I have since stopped using. I have no other symptoms and the patches do not reach my vulva. Does this sound like it could be an STI or could it be excema or something?

It sounds like it could be irritation from a new soap or something similar, not an STI, but with skin issues like this it's always a good call to check in with a healthcare provider, since they can see what you're describing and run any necessary tests.
