Hi, I just have a quick question about my birth control pill. I have been on Microgestin for two months, and when I picked up my prescription for a new pack today, it was Junel? I guess I am just wondering if I should go back to the pharmacy and have them switch it, or if the brand doesn't really matter, as long as i am taking it. Will changing brands lower my effectiveness rate?

Junel is a genric of Microgestin, so it's not actually a different pill. It contains the same active ingredients.
