So my period is supposed to start either tomorrow or the next day. I had rough sex with little lube on saturday, I've been bleedig a little bit ever since, not enough to use a tampon, but enough to notice. I was wondering if it could actually be my period and the rough sex just sorta "Started my flow" ? Can you have early periods on Birth Control? Or am I bleeding from sex and it will just continue into my period. Everything else is normal. Thanks! <3 Posts: 39 | From: Canada | Registered: Jan 2010

It is possible to have an early withdrawal bleed on the pill, so that's definitely a possibility.
However, it is also possible that you injured yourself during the sex. If you suspect that may be the case, you'll just want to give yourself some time to heal and not engage in penetrative activities for a couple of days.

What if I don't get my period on the scheduled day, should I assume that the bleeding that I had WAS my period? Or should I assume that I've missed my period?

Does this bleeding look at all like a period? An injury shouldn't result in much more than a little spotting for a couple of days. If the bleeding you are experiencing is as heavy as a regular period, then it's much more likely that this IS your period.
And if you are experiencing spotting as a result from an injury, that should not impact your period in any way.

No, it was more like spotting, a little here and there. On the first day RIGHT after I had sex it was a little heavy, but cleared up really soon. It was never enough that I had to use a tampon or anything. It looked like how the very end of my period looks, and how the spotting that I experienced in the first weeks of the pill looked. Thank you so much!
