So I have been getting my period for 3 years now and I just decided I would try using tampons (for when I went swimming). I put it in and all was fine HOWEVER, I got back to my room and it felt "full" so i decided that I would take it out. When I attempted to do so, it felt like it was "stuck". I tensed up so of course i couldn't get it out. I relaxed and eventually came out. When it did, it had this HORRIBLE feeling. Then afterwards i was feeling almost sick?? I'm confused about what happened and I'm scared to use them again. Could anyone let me know what happened? Thanks

Tampons take a while to get used to for a lot of people, so don't panic if it takes you a little while to work it all out. Untill you work out how they work for you, you might just need to change them more often, and try to relax when you are inserting and removing them, otherwise your muscles are tense and that can cause discomfort as you discribed. Some people just dont like to use tampons at all, and thats fine too.
