okay im not sure if its the birth conrol or not but i have pain while on my period. its inside my vagina mostly on the left side and its a sharp-itchy-burning pain. it stings an burns and sometimes i feel like if i rub it or scratch it it may go away. i started getting it while using tampons but i stopped using them once i started getting this pain. [i started getting this pain during my last cycle which was january 8-12]

what is it??

This is not typical of PMS or menstrual symptoms.

What kind of tampons were you using? Were they higher absorbency ones, cardboard applicators vs. plastic applicators? Do you have trouble using tampons in general?
