I'm on the pill (monophasic) and I take 3 packs and then have my withdrawal bleed normally. However, this time around I was going to be out of town and didn't want to deal with my period (it's usually pretty difficult) - my doctor gave me permission to take a fourth pack before my withdrawal bleed this time. I'm currently on the second week of that.

I've had little to no pregnancy risk during the last 4 packs but for whatever reason I'm still worrying - ONE time my boyfriend and I tried without a condom, but it was only for a minute or so and he definitely did not ejaculate inside me. (we've both been tested, by the way). I AM getting a lot of cramps though. Could this be a sign that my period is going to arrive during my off week in 2 weeks? The cramps have happened before at this time and I've always ended up getting it on time. Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

Even though there was a variation in the way you usually take your pill, I don't see anything that could have compromised their effectiveness. As that your body seems to be responding in the usual way (i.e. cramps at the usual time) I see no reason for concern. [Smile]
