does birth control (mostly Yasmin) reduce vaginal wetness? im really not trying to be like the Sahara Desert down there!!

It can indeed often have that effect, and Yasmin users do seem to have that side effect a bit more frequently than users of other pills.

So, you might talk to your healthcare provider about switching pills. But with any OCP, you will likely need to use a bit more extra lube than usual, simply because part of how they work is by thickening cervical mucus. And plenty of women who don't use the pill at all use lube, regardless.
