So I know that spotting when one first starts the pill isn't uncommon, though I never had it. But I'm a tad nervous as I've been on the pill for going on seven months, had sex without a condom on sunday(both of us have been tested, by the way), and spotted for the first time this afternoon.

Should I be worried that the sex and spotting are related, or is is most likely just me/the pill?

Spotting can happen at anytime, really. If you've taken your pill as directed (not missed any or taken any late) there's no reason to suspect this is anything other than normal. [Smile]

That's really a relief! My boyfriend and I were kinda nervous. Though, now this spotting has been lasting five days as of now; is this still normal? It seems like a bit of a long time to be doing so...

I think at this point its more of a pain in the butt than something to worry about. Where are you in your pill pack? Are you due to start your withdrawal bleed soon?

I'm expecting my withdrawl bleed around next Wednesday. So it's just my body deciding to be weird? Aha, lovely.

I kind of had a similar question to this too. I am not supposed to start my period until Sunday and I've begun to spot more than typical and I've had the worse cramps. Hrmm.
