So now I've been with a new boyfriend for some time.I've thought about that a lot and I'm ready to go into a new relationship.
I just talked things out tonight with my boyfriend, we kinda had a sex talk and I told him it that we both had to get tested for STD before engaging into any sort of sexual acts, that it was an important thing to do.
He's really fine with it and really understand that but he's kinda scared to go. :D I mean he had other sexual partners but didn't went before. I've read the article about STD testing and I was wondering if they always do a rectal exam ? Do they always take sample of your rectum ?
The doctor may or may not do a rectal exam. Unless the doctor is taking a swab of the rectum, there is no other exam that will pinpoint any STIs. It may be uncomfortable for a few seconds, but it shouldn't hurt.
Have him tell his doctor that he's never had an STI exam before and he'd like everything explained and to be told before anything is done. Doctors are usually pretty good about these things.
