..because I carelessly forgot to take it out this past Friday. I took it out yesterday though.
It may be a simple, stupid question to answer, but I really want to make sure, really sure if what I did was fine. And now I have to put a new ring in and take it out on Saturdays now?

Nope, you can keep your switch-day as a Friday, one slip-up for just an extra day shouldn't matter.
