Here's an interesting one - any help would be much appreciated.
My boyfriend and I have been together for two years and recently have been talking more and more about sleeping together some time in the near future. I'm looking into contraceptive methods and we've agreed we would absolutely want to use something as a backup to condoms. My periods also tend to err on the side of very heavy and long, and the Pill seems like a decent option to me.
Here's where it gets complicated. I'm a classical singer, and a serious one - it's the career path I'm planning to follow - and I've heard some brands of pill can affect the voice (which would obviously be a heck of a lot more noticeable to a singer). Problem is, I'm not sure which ones they are.
If I can get any info on this I'll be very grateful - hopefully I haven't completely stumped you .
Thanks ever so much,
-Emma

I have to say, i have not heard of the birth control pill affecting the voice. It would be impossible for me to look up ALL of the birth control pills to identify the ones you may have heard of ... I did a general search on google and found nothing.
The best person to discuss this with would be your doctor. And remember that there are many other methods of birth control, if you decide the pill is not for you.
