Hello. Recently I was in urgent care for something, well, urgent, and the doctor wanted to do a pelvic exam to rule out other causes. She noticed bumps on my upper inner thigh that I thought were from shaving, and told me they were probably molluscum cantagiosum. As I was quite ill and this was not the main health concern, she didn't elaborate and I didn't ask.
What is this? My boyfriend doesn't have any bumps like this, we've been tested for everything else and we use condoms. I know condoms wouldn't cover skin to skin transmission...but I haven't been with anyone else.
I read that it's possible to get them from pools. I have been in a lot of pools and hot tubs lately.
