i was on antibiotics for sinusitis last week, and i think they caused a yeast infection. i called my doctor's office, but instead of giving me an appointment, they called back three agonizing hours later with a prescription! i didn't even go in, or talk to a nurse or doctor. how do they know i don't have chlamydia or something else? i didn't go pick up the prescription yet. the girl who called me back couldn't even tell me how much the diflucan would cost. i don't want to pick up and pay for it if i shouldn't take it, i read in the article here that you shouldn't take anything OTC unless you've been diagnosed, and i read online somewhere else that this involved an exam. i don't have any health insurance or prescription coverage, but go to the same doctor's office when i'm sick. i'm just really angry about this. i have to go back to campus in and start classes in a week and i have an angry angry vagina!
what should i do? i think i'm going to call the office tomorrow and demand a visit, i think this is ridiculous.

you have every right to call back and say, "thanks for the prescription, but i'd also really like to see the doctor. please."

so give them a call and just ask the receptionist to schedule the apt. After all, it's not as if you're going to not pay for services, right?
