A couple of days ago my boyfriend and I engaged in oral and manual intercourse (but with protection!) and at a point had dry sex. Well, the day after (yesterday) I started having an itch around my vaginal opening. I'm also having a bit more discharge than usual (but it's a week before my period, so that could be why).
I saw a yeast infection treatment and saw that yeast infections included vaginal itching, and wondered if I could have a yeast infection (even though I have a lack of any other symptoms of one). I read the article on yeast infections that you have here, but the only thing that I saw out of accomplices that applied to me was that my diet has been off lately.
Could it be possible that I have a yeast infection? or Could it be that I got irritated from the dry sex after I was already sensitive (after the manual).

It sounds like what you are dealing with here is irritation from the sexual activity. Sometimes little tiny tears occur in the genital tissue, and when they heal, it can itch a bit.
If the itching gets worse, or your vulva looks red or swollen or you have a thick discharge, then it is time to go get checked out. Yeast infections share symptoms with lots of other conditions, and if you treat yourself with an over-the-counter preparation and you don't have a yeast infection, you could get one (they tend to throw off the balance in the vagina).
