I just discovered that I have a cut, or chafe mark, at the top of my genitals where my outer labia meet. (Near the pubic mound). It's not bleeding, just a little red and sensitive to the touch. I just discovered it in the shower. I've never been sexually active so I'm not sure what it's caused by. I'm wondering, what can I use to alleviate discomfort and promote healing? Any cream to put on, to protect it a little?
More than likely the cut was caused just by friction from underwear etc.
Maybe rubbing a little vaseline on it to protect it would help, and also at night maybe wearing a nightdress instead of a pyjama pants to "aerate" the area. lol that could help a lot. Loose fitting underwear that doesn't chafe is a must.
