i'm running out of ideas for dealing with my disordered eating.
i'm a college student and i've been struggling with disordered eating habits that have grown and receded over the past year or so. i decided that i want some help but my options are really slim and so i'm not sure what to do. there is a nutritionist on staff at our student health service but she's only available once a week and i don't feel comfortable working with her anyway. my insurance won't cover an outside referral of any kind, and i definitely can't afford to pay out of pocket. (generally initial appointments in my area are $100. and subsequent appointments are at least $50.) are there any other resources i'm overlooking? you may not have any ideas but i'm just not sure what to do at this point.

Does your school have a counseling service at the health center or women's center? If you don't feel comfortable working with the nutritionist, could you at least ask her for help finding resources in your area?
Also, if you give us a location, we might be able to find something for you. Maybe a counseling center with sliding scale fees or something. That might depend on whether or not you're anywhere near a big city.
