Hey There Scarleteen Advocates,

I have a question about a scar on my breast.

Well, last summer I had a mole removed that was on my left breast, just right at the top of it.
Anyways, my doctor told me that the scar would never heal properly because the tissue in the breast is different than any other part of your body.

Anyways, so now i'm left with a big, ugly, pinkish-redish scar on my pricesless booby

I know the scar will never fully go away, but it is really gross looking (even my friend has told me that it wasn't very pretty looking)
and it's not that I care what other people think, but I would really feel better about myself if it wasn't so noticeable.

So my question is... are there any creams that would make the scar fade, (it's fully healed now so I don't know )
I've started to put on this Aloe Vera cream with vitamin E but i'm not sure if thats going to work.

But anyways, any suggestions on how to make this ugly little scar fade away would be MUCH appreaciated!!

Thank you very much!

Vitamin E is really helpful for making scars fade, so keep doing what you're doing.

Also, see if you can think of the scar differently. Scars are beautiful. This scar represents a change in your body, and something you went through. The scar is part of you, and you can certainly learn to love it like any other part of your body. Scars are part of what makes all of us unique.

I've got a lot of little white patches on the inside of my right knee from a bad fall when I was six or so that resulting in me losing the pigment there. I was noticing them in the bath tonight (I was a bit flushed so they were more obvious than usual) and thinking just how cool that was. Who'd ever want a tattoo when you could have something as unique and interestng as a scar?
