in my last entry that I wrote, I was advised to take a home pregnancy test...will it work even though I'm not due for my period yet? or, what should I do? should I still take one now to find out?
I'm just worried about possibly being pregnant, and I am afraid to go through with an abortion if I am pregnant.

Here's what the site has to say about home pregnancy tests (since I can't say it any better than this):
You can use a home pregnancy test either after your first missed period, or one month after the time you suspect you may have become pregnant, and should repeat the test one week later if you get a negative result. The most reliable test is done by a doctor or clinician. If your test shows a positive, you should then go to a doctor's office or family planning clinic (like Planned Parenthood) and have a test done there. Home pregnancy tests are generally very reliable, but positives should be verified professionally.

So, wait and see if your period shows up on time and as normal. If it does, then you should be in the clear for pregnancy. If it doesn't show up, then follow the directions above as to when you should take a test.
