My girlfriend and I are completely monogomous and have been for 2 1/2 years now. We both were virgins before we were together. She is taking the pill now but still wants to use a condom. I don't feel that it completely necessary. I know it certainly doesn't hurt but I was just curious as to how much it actually helps?

i've been monogamous for almost 2 years, and i still use condoms. why? because pills fail. it happens. condoms are an excellent backup. and while this may not be a concern for you (though it should be), they block transmission of pathogens (HIV, et al).

Not only am I monogamous, my partner and I have both been tested for STDs (and came up clean). but if you've been monogamous, why go get tested, you're probably wondering? It's not a matter of mistrust; the contrary really. imho, trust is just going to the clinic together without having a fight over the matter. If you know you neither of you haven't been anywhere, then you know you'll both come up clean, right? And if one of oyu doesn't, well, get treated and be glad you found out, instead of passing something unknowingly.

and while opinions may vary, both my boyfriend and i think condoms feel great. moreover he can sustain an erection and hold off till orgasm longer while wearing a condom than without, which makes both of us happy.

srm? wtf? iyhta ... rtfm!
