well since i was 13 i have had 7 day long periods and i went off the pill two months ago (two periods ago) i stopped taking it after i finished my November pack of pills. and my period in January was 4 days long and the fifth day was only spotting. and im on the older end here going to be 21 soon. so question is can things just change like that or is something possible wrong i dont want to go to my dr and say that and then nothing be wrong. (waste of money). my mom had endometriosi (not sure on the spelling) is that a worry for me then she is the only one in the family to have had that. so really that two quesitions there do i ahve something to worry about and could it be i have what my mom had?

It's completely normal for your period to change over time, and especially if you are coming off of hormonal birth control. Your body is reregulating to it's natural hormone production, so as long as you are having periods, you are fine.

Regarding the endometriosis, since your mom had it, it wouldn't hurt to get checked out. But that more than likely doesn't really have to do with your period now being shorter.
