Recently, due to a different time schedule this semester, I have been missing a few pills. One was almost 12 hours late, and the other was about 3. I know a few hours around the time is okay, but I was just curious about the effectiveness. I know that each time you miss or take a pill late, the effectiveness is lowered, but I didn't know if this carried over month to month or if once you finish the current pill pack and have your withdrawal bleed, you start completely over. Like as long as you take your pill on time every day for the new cycle, is it back to its highest effectiveness, or do the missed or late ones from the prior month still compromise the effectiveness in the following cycle? Thanks!

Yes, as long as you start your new pack on time, you'll be fine for that cycle. Late pills from previous cycles don't make a difference.
