I just started my pill pack last week when I first saw my OBGYN. I have taken the 8th pill already, and I started taking it the day my period ended. I asked my OBGYN if I should wait a month, and she said it was really up to me when I wanted to start. My periods last about 6 days, so it started the Friday before I went to see her, and I started taking the pill the next Thursday. I was just wondering if this was too late into my cycle to start the pill to be effective? I have been taking it everyday at 2:14pm exactly, so I know I am good in that area. Thanks!

Ideally, you want to start taking the pill on the first day of your period, or the first Sunday after the start of your period. That way, your body gets used to it easier, and you'll be at full effectiveness sooner.

Starting at any other day of your cycle is fine, as well. You just have a slightly higher chance of experiencing side effects like spotting and wonky withdrawal bleeds. And you'll want to back up with condoms for the entire first month, as it may take the pill a bit longer to become fully effective.
