So, I just found that nifty little text on the side of my pills' packaging that says to store it between 59ºF-86ºF. I'm hoping this is meant exclusively for the pharmacy. I have flown with them in my checked luggage on a transatlantic flight, and I have no idea what the temps are in the cargo area. Also, I don't always access to air conditioning. Does this mean that any pill/pack that I have will start failing?

Unrelatedly (I hope) I have had breakthrough bleeding in the middle of my pill pack for at least the last three packs, including this one. The previous two could probably be attributed to taking a pill a few hours later than usual but this time, I don't think I've deviated more than fifteen minutes. Should I be worried, or just look into switching brands?

To my understanding, temperatures that are too cold are less of a problem than ones that are too warm (at least, this is the case for most medications). The cargo area would have been cold, if anything. An unairconditioned house should still be okay, as long as it's not staying above 100 all the time.

So, I'd say odds are low your protection is compromised, but it's definitely possible. If you want to be extra careful, you can back up with condoms for the rest of this cycle.

In terms of the break through bleeding, are you up to date on STI tests? If so, then it may be time to investigate another brand.
