I am just full o' questions lately. But I think this is the final one!

I've been on Levora birth control since last June, and my insurance company just switched me to Portia. The pharmacy told me that these are the same pills, just a different name. This is a bit of a silly question, but should I be worried about lower effectiveness? Should I also use a back-up method when I start these pills or am I good to go?

Thanks again, guys. I am so glad that Scarleteen exists!

Nope, no need to be worried. Just like with other types of medications, the generic version is absolutely the same. The only difference, generally, is the price. [Smile] As long as you keep taking it as normal, you should not have any sort of adjustment.

Ugh and just one more thing... I left the pills on my bed and went out for a few hours, and came back to realize that they were sitting in the sun! It says that they are not supposed to go over 77*F so I am a bit worried...

A few hours in the sun shouldn't make a huge difference, but you can always call your pharmacist and double-check.
