I have a question regarding Tri-Sprintec for those of you who have used it or are using it. How long did it take for everything to get into your system? When I first started it I got my period twice for one pack. I had it when I started the pills and then I got it during the white pills and I want to know if that's a problem?I'm only on my second pack right now but I'm taking the white pills and haven't gotten my period yet for this pack.

Just FYI, what you're experincing is typical with starting ANY hormonal method. Often, it takes a couple of cycles for your body to adjust, and it's common not to get withdrawal bleeds right on time for a cycle or two, or to have some breakthrough bleeding.

So, no worries for the next two packs. If by the time you're through your third pack, you're still having these issues, then it's worth a call into the doc who prescribed them for you.

Thank you. I got my period today anyways. I just wanted to make sure that it wouldn't screw things up if I got it during the white pills. Will it straighten out after awhile and come during the blue pills or does it really matter that I have it during the white pills??

Within a few cycles, it really should happen during the placebo period. It may not start right on the first day of them, and sometimes may carry into the active pills a little, but it should begin during the placebos pretty shortly.

And having the withdrawal bleed now doesn't have any effect on the effectiveness of your pill.
