Basically, my question is, is it alright to go off the pill for two months? Are there many side effects or will it be worse when I do go back on it?
My birthcontrol pack and prescription runs out in two days. Lately I've had to pay almost triple the amount for the pills because of insurance issues, but I have switched insurance providers but it won't kick in till July. I also don't have a doctor's appointment till August, but I was looking into switching my birth control type. Any feedback?

It'd be better for you and just your general feeling-good-physically if you didn't do that. Doing that won't do you harm, but you'd put your body and mind through some ups and downs you could avoid by just staying on your pill.
You might consider calling your local Planned parenthood or sexual health clinic: you may be able to get your pills on a sliding scale that makes them affordable for you.
