What happens if the man doesn't leave any space at the tip of the condom for the semen to collect in? Could someone PLEASE elaborate on this for me...I am so worried that it came out the other end.

Air will become trapped in the tip, and the condom is more likely to split or burst. It also leaves space in the tip for the semen once the man has ejaculated.
Most condoms come with illustrated instructions in a little booklet.. if you have a look in that, it will explain how to put a condom on correctly. There is also an article on the main site here.
