if you use lubricated condoms do you still need to use separtate lube too (like KY, astroglide, etc.)? and where can you buy all the condoms y'all talk about...like Durex and the other ones? Can you just buy them at a drugstore? Just wondering.
Thanks

okay, we're supposed to be reviewing specific products here one at a time, so if this post needs to be put over in basics & health, please do so, since my kung fu is not mighty enough.

you can find the condoms we've been discussing at your local drugstore. Durex is a very common and popular brand. and it's my personal fave. i give it a three-thumbs-up.

as for lubricants, for me, astroglide is harder to find, maybe it's just where i am. but i always have to go to sex shops to find it. at the drugstores, however, you can find KY Jelly and Liquid. I haven't tried the liquid, but anything's gotta be better than the jelly -- yuck!

i'm really sorry this is posted in the wrong place...

which is better--lubricated or not lubricated condoms...and if they're already lubricated do you still need to buy lube?

We recommend either nonlubricated or lubricated -- but NOTspermicidally-lubricated -- condoms, and we advise you use additional latex-safe lubricant with both sorts. Extra lubricant makes it most comfortably for both parties as well as safeguards the condom from breaking.

As far as what to get alternate brands, most drugstores or larger chain stores (like Target, etc.) carry several brands. We also have a link to a good online source on our front page: http://scarleteen.com

In addition, we suggest our favorite brands in our shopping area here: http://scarleteen.com/shop/safer.html
