okay so my friend, who is sexually active is having symptoms which she thinks may be an std. she has swollen glands, painful urination, peeling skin inside vagina, and bump/lump inside vagina. she's really worried because she doesn't know what it can be. what kind of std/sti could this be? and she has made an appointment to go to the doctor. but it's not until november.

If she told her doc she was having all these symptoms, I'm really surprised they didn't find a way for her to get in right away, or refer her to someone else who could see her soon.
Ultimately, this particular collection of symptoms, all together, isn't ringing any bells for me: it's more likely this is more than one thing, given that the kinds of issues and infections which would cause urinary troubles don't tend to be the same types of things that would cause sores or lumps inside the vagina or peeling. Swollen glands could be from any great number of things.
If her doc really can't see her soon, she could certainly get into a sexual healthcare clinic for STI testing sooner.
